Agreeing with sorry and the original poster^ While chi o, theta, and gamma phi have the top grades I really think it's dumb to specify them as the "academic houses" because that makes it seem like the other sororities are way below them and don't place an emphasis on grades. There is two tenths of a difference between the top and the bottom. To even be eligible to rush you have to have a certain GPA and a lot of the sororities require PNMs to have competitive GPAs to even be invited back after the first day or two. So yes, while chi o, theta, and gamma phi look for girls with high GPAs and class ranks, not being in these houses is not going to make you forget your grades. No sorority wants their members to fail academically, because chances are your sorority was founded by women who wanted them and their sisters to succeed. end rant.
