Honestly, the question is less "do members of low tier frats and sororities have socials?" and more "what KIND of socials do they have?" As others have said, each org has at least a few events each semester - formal, mixer, date night, etc. But the way that social feels can be very different. If you're someone who really enjoys getting dressed up and going out, taking the best pictures, and being around as many people as possible, then you'd probably prefer the socials of a higher tier chapter. If you like going to events that are on the more chill side, with fewer people, maybe less dolling up, just not as flashy, then a lower tier might be a better fit. From my perspective, the "higher tier" sororities and frats are the ones that have the crazier parties, while the "lower tier" ones just aren't always as hype. I'm in a low tier sorority and most of the time I just prefer to stay in and have a few sisters over for a movie night over going out to a party. Some of my friends even choose to not go to mixers and formals cause it's just not their thing. Plus, it's not like students who aren't Greek don't have parties. Honestly, some of my favorite parties have been ones from outside Greek life.
