A fraternity first and foremost should be about brotherhood, involvement and academics. The same with the sororities. Partying, drinking and social status does not put anyone on top, quite frankly it should be looked down on especially when it's done is excess, as the partying and drinking are a problem in many of the houses, granted it's never the whole for most, just those select individuals (go to the parties, you'll see who they are). Going to the parties and getting wasted is for the moment, life lessons and brother/siterhood are infinitely what being greek is about.
