All sororities have a fall formal, spring formal, and at least one mixer each semester. More popular sororities pair up with each other and fraternities (so splitting the cost) so they can have more mixers each semester. Less popular ones people don’t want to mix with have to pay for it all themselves so they have fewer. No matter what house you’re in you can go to any mixer/formal as someone’s date. Sororities have group chats with frats where they send party addresses and themes. More popular sororities get invited to parties by more popular frats and less popular sororities get invited by less popular frats. The parties aren’t that different though. You can still get invited to any if you’re friends with a guy in the frat. Only difference is less popular ones don’t really have date nights where the a freshman pledge class from a sorority and a fraternity will hangout so it’s just easier to know them and have the relationship between the two groups. Frats don’t really care about having these relationships with less popular sororities because they’re thought to be less hot though they still have some attractive members and some top houses have some unattractive members it’s the ratio of each that matters. Being in a popular sorority helps bc it gets handed to you but if you’re fun and in a bottom one you’ll also be fine bc you’ll make friends with people and still get invited to stuff but it’s just you getting invited bc you might be cool even if your sorority as a whole isn’t perceived to be
