Do all the obvious things like getting your application, natural photos and clothes that follow the guidelines set up. The Rec letter thing is a little misleading because they act like its optional ( maybe at a less competitive school they are), but here these matter. Take time to seek out good people to write Recs for you. Come with no preconceived ideas about houses. A name you have heard doesn't mean it is better hear. Be friendly to every person you meet. You will make friends as you go through this process with girls. Tips include: slip on flats for between visits, stay hydrated it is always real hot and its hot in the houses because their are so many people, if you can bring a small brush, gloss and hand mirror for touch ups, some people bring hand held fans...Otherwise smile and be authentic. It's a crazy emotional week but its worth it.
