<strong>Subject:</strong><br />2020 Honest Fraternity Tiers Pt 1<br /><br /> Poster Message:
The fraternities are broken down into general tiers. The order of the fraternities within the tier depends on who you talk to. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions Top Lambda- BIG social fraternity. Consistently idolized as a top fraternity. They bring in athletic, good looking guys and consistently have quality mixers and tailgates. Can come off as overly arrogant and douchey. Supposedly been losing some guys in rush to other fraternities, but no noticeable drop off. Stereotype: High school Heroes Sorority Partners: Zeta/DG/Pi Phi Sig Ep- The balanced man is their motto and that's exactly what you get. They have a ton of guys in leadership positions and put a focus on balancing their strong social and academic sides. Not as full of themselves as Lambda, but not as good a social calendar. Stereotype: Pretty Boys “Sigma Phi hair salon” Sorority Partners: Zeta/DG/Pi Phi Pi Kapp- Very similar to Sig Ep in the fact that they balance social and academic well. They don’t have as many good social events as Sig Ep, but their academics are slightly better. Overall, very nice guys Stereotype: All business students Zeta/Pi Phi/Chi O Upper Mid FIJI- Consistently seen as one of the crazier fraternities with a bunch of wild partiers. Full of wealthy guys that fix problems with money. They had a bad rep a few years ago but have rose a lot recently by consistently mixing with top tier sororities. Stereotype: Wealthy and Wild Sorority Partners: Zeta/DG/Theta Beta- The best academic fraternity on campus and all of the girls describe them as the nicest guys you’ll ever meet. They are everywhere on campus and everyone knows at least one. Many of their members are not very social which hinders them. They are open tomix with anyone, but their events aren’t always great since they don’t have a huge social budget.. Stereotype: Overly academic Sorority Partners: Theta/SK/Insert Sorority Here SAE- The leader of the “southern fraternities”. Bible Belt Boys. They are extremely wealthy, cliquey, and stick to themselves and the southern sororities. Most of their events are bar tabs as they get in trouble with TCU about every 6 months. Huge national support though so they are always safe on campus. Little to focus on academics Stereotype: Wealthy Southern Clique; intense pledgeship Sorority Partners: Tri Delt/Kappa Lower Mid Kappa Sig- The counterpart to SAE. Very intense hazing that put their chapter under serious scrutiny. Nevertheless, they are a heavy southern fraternity with a big rivalry against SAE. They are more active around campus than SAE and mix with sororities that don’t just fit the “southern status”. Stereotype: Southern “Cowboys” Sorority Partners: Tri Delt/Kappa/Chi O Sig Chi- Their status is the hardest one to pin down. They have a lot of laid back guys that like to smoke, but they had a huge hazing scandal a few years ago that cleaned out almost all upperclassmen. This left them without a PC, and a whole year and a half with no mixers. They used to be considered solidly in the upper mid tier but have dropped a lot because they haven’t mixed with anyone. This year will be huge to see how their standing has changed. Stereotype: You wanna smoke? Sorority Partners: Unknown
