Hi! So I’m going to try to explain to the best of my ability because these can get confusing. Snap Bid is done prior to bid day. This happens when a chapter does not reach quota for the new PC and will extend a bid to someone who dropped out of recruitment. TCU does not do this often as most chapters hit quota or are close enough that they do not want to extend snap bids. COB is continuous open bidding which is done outside of the recruitment process. This is when the entire chapter numbers don’t hit panhellinic’s quota. This is reprogrammed every semester. This really could be any chapter, but last year Gamma Phi, AOPi, ADPI, and Phi Mu (fall semester only) all did it. In recent years Alpha Chi and Sigma Kappa did as well. For these it is really important to know girls in these chapters to get a COB bid. The chapters are sent the names of girls who left the recruitment process, but most of the time it’s not a large number of spots they need to fill so they just go off of member recommendations. This process can happen both fall and spring as the recalibrate.
