It is so hard being cut from a sorority you love. I was in a similar position as your sister last year. I don’t think you can prepare enough for that big cut if it happens, but here is my advice. The rho gammas are absolutely amazing for support and i would really encourage utilizing them if she feels comfortable with hers. There is counseling too at TCU which would be a wonderful resource if once school starts she is still having trouble with it. I would also recommend finding friends in her hall, especially her roommate because that support on campus would be helpful. Try to have her continue through the rounds unless she gets cut for preference. I would say it is too hard having that heart breaking news come right before you are about to make a big decision and you don’t want her choosing wrong. The biggest support system is family. My sister was so supportive of me and just calls and texts and if possible physically being there will bring a lot of comfort. My last piece would be if she does drop, have her still keep an open mind about all sororities because about 6 of them do COB/spring recruitment. If she finds friends in one of these this may be a great option for her. Hope this helps!
