When they are blanket inviting everyone, it's not a matter of wanting you. It's a matter of wanting to keep any warm body in the game. That's why so many PNMs suicide if AOPI is one of their choices or never show up to bid day if they end up unlucky enough to get them. I guess not everything is lost though. With Phi Mu coming and being the new random member sorority, AOPI will end up being second to the last.
