So I had a similar story. I had the sleeve three weeks after my 18th birthday. I was 232 pounds. No I'm 160 and feel great. I was about six months post op when I went though rush, so I had already lost a lot of weight. Because I came from out of state, nobody knew me in high school, and it wasn't even an issue. The only thing that was hard, was that I couldn't drink for a long time and my friends were drinking. Now I'm two and a half year s post op and doing great. I honestly don't think about it much. I would wait on telling people. You want people to judge you for your other positive qualities.
