I was in a similar position so I hope this helps. If you’re living in you should just really make a determined effort to get to know people. Focus on one on one. If you’re walking to class see if anyone’s headed out, invite people to go get coffee with you, go to work out etc. Yes sometimes you’re not gonna make a connection and you might not find your besties right away. If you give it a shot it will make it better - and for some reason it doesn’t, then you at least try your best and shouldn’t feel bad if you decide to drop. GL, this worked for me and I’m in a much better place now than I was this time last year. I don’t love everyone in my srat but I have a lot more friends and a core friend group.
