What everybody's been saying, keep an open mind and be an independent thinking person during the process. It's REALLY easy to get caught up in "tiers" and stereotypes, especially when you chat with your bump group between parties. When you get a bid, you want it to be a place that you'll find REAL friendships, girls who will be in your life forever. For some women, that's going to be in DG. For others, it's going to be in Theta. For others, AGD, and so on. I preffed at "top tier" AND "mid tier" houses. I put a mid tier as my #1, got a bid there and it is home, through and through. it's where I felt most comfortable and where I connected the most with the sisters. Remember, they're ranking you, too. If you feel like your interactions are not as natural with a certain house, they probably feel the same way. So why would you rank them higher than a place where you can be yourself? You'll either get cut, or if you do get in, odds are you won't be happy.
