I know 300 seems like a lot of girls that didn’t get in sororities but it’s important to note that almost no one is entirely dropped from recruitment. Out of those 300, I’m guessing about 95% left on their own free will (usually on sisterhood or preference day because they didn’t like the 5-ish or less chapters they had left). Plus, several chapters participate in open recruitment in the fall and even in the spring sometimes so even if someone didn’t find their home during formal recruitment there are still lots of opportunities to join a house!
