<strong>Subject:</strong><br />some srat thoughts<br /><br /> Poster Message:
here’s some thoughts I have about sororities on campus after seeing them change over the last few years! feel free to disagree lol: alpha phi: many girls in this chapter are sweet and genuine, but their national reputation and a few rude women seem to make them a little less friendly in the panhel community. alpha delta pi: sadly, this chapter seems to continue to struggle with recruiting and retention. regardless, many of the girls are very dedicated to their chapter, and generally pretty nice. kappa kappa gamma: these girls are all very fun and are definitely the social butterflies of panhel at UNL. can sometimes feel like they look down on other chapters and panhel women bc of their status. alpha chi omega: many women in this chapter speak about how they love how bold and charismatic their sisters are, and it’s definitely true. that being said, they don’t always have the best rep, and one sad thing is that this chapter often struggles with retention as their pledge classes get closer to graduation. delta gamma: these women are definitely visible on campus, super involved and high GPA. the only disappointing thing is that they sometimes let their ‘top tier’ rep change the way they treat others. alpha xi delta: another group of not so typical sorority women that are doing really well on campus. they are definitely social, and have had a lot of success in recruitment the last few years. this whole chapter continues to move up, but then can feel a little cliquey overall. phi mu: this chapter seems pretty involved on campus, and are getting more social and are definitely philanthropy focused. you can tell they’ve been working at recruiting, but their GPA and numbers continues to struggle. phi beta phi: this chapter is always sweet, they are definitely super social within the Greek community. many girls in this chapter seem very dedicated to their sorority and philanthropy and they are a pretty inviting group! kappa delta: a chapter full of women who are definitely dedicated to their chapter. sometimes I get weird vibes, but generally a pretty solid, social house. gamma phi beta: this chapter always has a high GPA and a pretty diverse group of women. this house has many members who may not be the stereotypical sorority woman, but they excel within the panhel community regardless. it can feel like they hold themselves above other chapters in a way that is not super friendly. alpha omicron pi: super involved on campus, passionate women that not only care about their but about UNL as a whole. these are definitely the girls that you meet during the first week of class and become friends super quickly. can sometimes struggle with numbers, which is sad, but they have definitely been working toward improving that and their GPA. kappa alpha theta: obviously, this chapter ever struggles with numbers. they are definitely dominant on campus and within panhel socially. girls continue to pref them and they maintain a relatively high GPA. tri delta: there seems to be a lot of women in this chapter from out of state, and I’ve heard some concerning things about their sisterhood. but, they are super active with their philanthropy which is admirable. chi omega: this chapter is full of super dedicated, driven women. they have a crazy high GPA and also manage to be very involved all over campus. they do tend to stick to themselves as a chapter, but generally pretty kind.
