of my chapter and most people only know the cut of their chapter. In addition, sororities that have generally really high GPA cuts, expect you to hold a really strong preference for academics and along with that a higher college GPA. If you do not place as high as value in having top notch grades, as there are many other reasons to attend college, then you may not enjoy being in these chapters. If your GPA does not accurately reflect your value of academics because you got sick durning high school or had another event occur that causes a lower GPA, still give recruitment a shot! The GPA standards may not be what I believe they are or you may come to love a chapter without those cuts- you just won't know unless you go through. If you don't come to love a chapter or your GPA is too low for all chapters, I would strongly suggest improving your GPA in your first semester/year of college! Most chapters require a lower college GPA than high school (which is weird for me because I actually have a higher college GPA). And rushing as a sophomore will not prevent you at all from getting a great chapter. It usually is an added benefit for people! If you have any follow-up questions from this please just comment and I will try to remember and come back to answer them. I am procrastinating packing for college
