Subject:
Rush Guide for Incoming Freshman

Poster Message:
Just wanted to put this out there for any freshman that are thinking about rushing next year. This isn't meant to be a ranking or anything, so please don't come at me in the comments. Just trying to put some genuine advice on here for once: Theos, Castle, Owls: These are very selective and closed-off frats. If you don't already know someone or aren't in a certain tax bracket, you probably don't have a shot. Also lean towards the international/NYC crowd more than other frats. Insane parties and definitely the richest at Penn. Hall, PhiDelt, Apes: These are what people would consider to be the "traditional" frats at Penn. There are some differences between the three, but overall they tend to attract the same crowd. Hall tends to have a preppier vibe, PhiDelt is more country music/traditional frat vibes, and Apes is a mix of a traditional vibe and some NYC kids. Def helps to know someone beforehand, but not impossible to get a bid from these three. All three have cool events and great members so can't go wrong here. ZBT: Kinda seen as the on-campus version of Apes. Have some great events, but it's def easier to get a bid here than the other three. Great guys, great vibe overall. Zete: Very similar to the internationals described previously. Kinda hard to put under an umbrella since they are very unique. Known mainly for their Thursday late nights and boiler rooms. I hope this helps some of the freshman coming in. Again, this should not be taken as a ranking or whatever
