the long term benefits of social climbing are not unique to social climbing... like if you are involved in school in other ways, you can get same benefits... it also depends on what your end goals are... if its IB/PE then being in a frat or srat is good practice for office politics, client relationships and networking... if its Tech then it really doesn't matter but certain companies like Google are big on networking and internal connections, nevertheless i'd say rather focus more on your CIS and math classes lol... if its going to law/medicine/science then wtf are you doing on this site anyways... other niche areas like Hollywood or journalism, it can help (i.e. Tridelt and OAX have alumni in these areas)
