I saw this on another post but thought it was important to share so as many of you can get your first choices. If you are NOT suicide bidding, be honest with your houses. No one gets offended if you say you see yourself better in another house, here's why: As you rank your two houses, the houses will compile their list of ranked PNMS as well, showing Panhellenic who they want on their bid list. Let's say you have House A and House B, and your first choice is House A. If you go in and lie to house B and say they are your first choice just to make them feel better, there is a high chance you might be put higher on their bid list than you are on house A's. I know my house has us report how the PNMs are feeling about us so we can place them accordingly. Picture this: you have told both houses they are the house you want to go, you rank A first and B second. Now imagine you are in house B's top 50 PNMs, but are lower on house B's list. You are way more likely to end up with a bid from house B. This is YOUR experience and YOUR next four years. No one will be mad at you for being honest, and tbh, no one wants crying girls on their lawn on bid day, the houses would rather have you where you want to be. So long story short, be polite, but be honest. I made the mistake of lying to my least favorite house, but luckily, I was high enough on my favorite house's list to end up with a bid from them, however, I know many girls who got stuck with bids they didn't want. This is a computer generated system, but they are ranking you too. IF YOU PUT BOTH HOUSES DOWN, YOU WILL GET A BID. This is why it is NOT a risk to be honest. No matter what, you will get a bid.
