If you are on this site, chances are high that you are a freshman who wants a little help with rush. If you are a girl going through sorority recruitment, you have the benefit of a systematic formal rush to help you find the best fit for you. For guys, it is kind of a crap shoot as you kinda just randomly tour houses whose letters all sound the same and who all seem to be telling you the same thing. With so many fraternities it is tough to narrow down your search. This list serves as a guide as to what kind of house each of the fraternities are/known as at ISU so that you know what kind of house you are actually joining and know which houses to look at/consider based on what you hope to get out of the Fraternity experience at ISU. This is NOT a ranking or "Tier List" but rather a description/categorization of the house's size (Large, Medium, Small) and what it is known for/its specialty (IFC/Community Involvement, Social/Parties, etc). Of course, all of this is a generalization, as each house is diverse and dabbles with all aspects of fraternity life, but I figured this would be a good way to narrow your search if you know what it is you are looking for (85% involvement 15% partying, 50% partying 50% involvement, etc).
