Personally don't believe this is a great indication because although the schools are very selective, the sororities are very easy to get into as they aren't very popular at those schools. My choice of XO was based on their strength in southern schools, and basically every other ranking was based very much on the west coast, where imo the best chapters are. I've visited my AZ and Cali chapters and my rankings are very much based on those states. I found the rankings rang true on the east coast and Midwest as well. The strong southern chapters (xo, tridelt) tend to be strong mainly in the south and kappa is only strong in Cali.
