Have to laugh at someone who thinks I was never in a sorority just because I've got the detachment and wisdom that comes with age to be able to think objectively about a chapter of my sorority. (And I said upfront I didn't go to OU.) Regarding the last post: I understand the only defense against the vitriol spewed by a few is to try to offset it with numbers. That's the definite downside of anonymous social media: cyber-bullies do not even have to have the courage to be known for who they are, compared to "schoolyard" bullies. There is no chance for illuminating conversation about a topic; you just have to keep swatting back at them like they were annoying flies. Unfortunately, compared to a lot of anonymous blogs etc., Greek Rank has the ability to impact people's lives in a bad way when used for nefarious purposes. As an outsider interested in one girl's rush, this was my only way to try to get a handle on OU sororities. I hope that it represents the tiniest portion of Greek life there, and that all of the houses have a great, positive year. Boomer Sooner.
