That would make sense about Alpha Phi due to the physical size of their house. Also, it was fairly newly re-colonized when I went through recruitment. Again, this just shows how a house can go from "meh" to pretty competitive in just a few years. Join a house and be the difference in that house! PNMs, next year you could be rushing girls and helping decide the future for your house. You can make OU and your sorority a better place by being part of the greek community. Don't let anyone tell you that you aren't as good as Sally Anne because you got cut by their house. That's silly.
