This tho. I’m sorry but there’s a lot of people on this website that try to say that the “old top 5” isn’t a thing here anymore but you have to think about this... how often is it that a PNM has a top 5 house and a house that isn’t in the top 5 on pref night and chooses the other house. Until girls start consistently choosing these other houses over the “old top 5” houses, they will still be considered tops. People love to hate on them bc they’re jealous of them and that’s the reality. However, that’s not to say that there aren’t 11 amazing chapters at OU and that there aren’t absolutely incredible girls in every chapter, bc there definitely are. I agree that some of the houses in the top 5 have slipped in previous years and that lower houses could have possibly done better in recruitment some years, but that simply doesn’t change the fact that these houses have been top at OU for YEARS and years. And if you don’t care about being in a top house and are truly only there for the sisterhood and genuine friendships like you should be, it shouldn’t matter to you anyways what your houses ranking is. Bc this is all a relative opinion to everyone anyways, some people don’t agree that there is a top 5 at all and that’s okay. These 5 houses are just what have been considered by most people to be consistently top houses throughout the many years that they have existed at OU.
