Ok so I saw a post earlier and can’t find it anymore. Here’s the deal. There used to be a thing called the top 5. Several of those houses that were a part of this group have fallen. And it’s a good thing. It shows other houses are working hard at creating a strong sisterhood and community presence. The very top houses are theta and kappa. They go after different girls but they are all great girls. People keep trying to say Kappa doesn’t belong here but they do. They had 1 bad recruitment last year but have been solid #1 for many years before this past year. Houses don’t drop bc of 1 bad PC. Then the middle/top is where things get a little messy. The 3 that are left from the old top 5 are XO, DDD and Pi Phi. They have dropped because of issues in their houses. It isn’t from 1 bad year, it’s from several bad years and not so great PC’s. APhi and AXO also fit on this line. These 5 houses at any moment can move up. And the reason APhi and AXO get so much hate is bc they have risen. Both these houses offer an awesome sisterhood and experience. Then the next line is GPhi, DG, AOPi and AGD. All great houses and offer a fun experience. You can’t go wrong here either So the point here is this: OU has a solid Greek system. Offering a great experience for everyone. The tiers are kind of dumb but everyone on here seems to argue where houses land. I’m here to say, PNM’s go through and follow your heart! And most importantly, don’t get too caught up in letters...you could end up regretting your decision if you do. Choose based on where you feel you fit the best!
