You sound bitter. When you have only a few minutes to make an impression, putting your best self out there and being outgoing doesn’t make you fake. I’m usually pretty reserved, but I knew I had to smile and talk my head off at every house because that’s the only chance girls have to talk to you. If you sit quietly and don’t act excited, girls will think you don’t want to be there. Top houses have to make big cuts and don’t have a lot of time to talk to girls, so they select girls they know really want the be in their house. To the OP, it’s great to have friends in other houses. Most people do! But I agree with another poster, get involved or drop out. It isn’t worth paying to dues if you don’t enjoy it, however, you usually get out of things what you put in to them.
