Way to represent the OU student body. You sound like a priveleged brat. If mom and dad are footing all the bills, paying tuition and chapter fees along with everything else do you think it’s reasonable for them to have a say about what it is they are paying for? That’s not helicopter patenting, that’s being smart about how you spend your money. If the student is paying for it, well that’s different. How many students pay their way through Greek life on their own — 0.5 % to none. She said they are out of state and don’t have anyone in person to talk to. I think it’s good to try and research Greek life but embarrassed she found this site tbh. @Anna - You sound like a great mom. 😃 Please reach out to Kylie Frisby as mentioned. She should be able to answer a majority of your questions. Also I’d start following chapters on social media so you and your daughter can get a “feel” for each house. Hopefully your daughter goes through recruitment and will be able to see where she thinks she fits in best as she interacts with actives in person that week. If she gets in with the right group of girls (which given your diligence in researching and planning I think she probably will) she is going to love being a part of OU Greek life. I promise!
