I know someone who went through RUSH and went into it not knowing anything whatsoever about sororities or their reputations beforehand. She did know someone who was an alum of one of the lower middle tier sororities who gave her a recommendation that was also sent to the Panhellenic group. This young lady never looked at this site before RUSH, so she had no idea there was a top and bottom house mentality at all. She thought she would be chosen based on her looks, the many activities she has been involved in, personality, and grades. She is an OU scholar, she was admitted to the OU Honor's college, she was very involved in high school activities, she was ranked at the VERY top of her high school class, she has several talents, and she is an absolutely beautiful girl. Yet based on these rankings she was cut from what is considered to be all the top houses and even the house she had the recommendation for on the very first day.
