True. Grades aren't the only thing that's important, but during recruitment, they give houses an idea of which girls will have the discipline to work hard on house/campus activities and still be academically successful. Academic success is a predictor of professional success and all sororities like to have alumna groups filled with successful women. Still, there are other important things PNMs can look at too. The OP mentioned how much you like the girls you meet in the house.
