Don't listen to the troll who has taken over this site today. Most of us girls decide in high school that we want to rush, many times when we see older girls posting their bid day and sorority photos on social media. For the most part, our moms were in sororities and we at least had a clue what sororities were when we were growing up. If you're from the south you start lining up recommendations at the beginning of your senior year. By March we have all our packets assembled and are ready to send them out. Some high schools offer rush prep electives, others of us attend some sort of Panhellenic luncheons or fashion shows or events in our hometown usually second semester senior year. Senior pictures are a big deal because those are the photos we use in our packets. Good photographers are aware of "sorority" photos. Resumes are prepared highlighting our grades and activities. Some of us hire professionals to help write these resumes and put together our packets. We nurture any and all connections with active's or alumni all year long in an effort to stay in their minds and remain relevant to them.
