You'll never hear anything about her fictitious loan, you think anyone is stupid enough to do that? First, a reputable bank would not issue a loan for 'sorority dues' so there's no way it's low interest. Second, private loans don't wait until after you graduate to repay them. The loan accrues interest and you have to start paying the balance off before you graduate, sometimes right away like a car loan. She's just giving you really bad advice and trying to get you into financial trouble. Don't take out a loan for sorority expenses.
