it depends on which sorority. i know people who pay 1500 a semester and others who pay 2500 a semester. it's not like it's a standardized cost. i pay each semester, and chapter dues, meals, social events, etc. are all covered. my first semester, things like my new member education items, initiation fees and my badge were included in my dues. everyone pays separately for tee shirts and other items, through the jcg website. it's nearly impossible to pin point an exact cost. if you aren't able to find a way to afford the 2500 a semester, i wouldn't rush. you can't go in thinking that you're going to get the cheapest one. prepare for the most expensive, and if you get in a house that's cheaper then you know you'll be covered. greek life will cost me about $20,000 when it's all said and done. if this isn't possible for you, then i wouldn't rush, as much as that sucks.
