Mississippi has one of the worst, or arguably the worst, public education system in the country. 2/3 of the student body of Ole Miss is from Mississippi. If you think the quality of students and academics is being pulled down perhaps you shoukd take a look in your own back yard. Furthermore, it's not 1960 anymore. Times have changed, culture has changed, everywhere. And that's not a bad thing.
