Snap bids are allowed for groups that do not make quota. Chapters have a certain amount of time after bid matching is completed to extend bids to women not placed. These snap bids will bring the chapter up to new member quota before new member lists are given to the chapters. Once snap bids have been given, if a chapter remains under new member quota the Continuous Open Bidding (COB) process will begin. If a chapter is under campus total as set by Panhellenic they will COB. This probably will not happen this year because most groups will take quota. It is a good idea to register for Alpha Phi recruitment now. Although keep in mind Alpha Phi has a selection process also for their colony members. Not everyone who registers and goes through Alpha Phi recruitment will receive a bid.
