Who cares what you think? Southern culture is more traditional than where you're from. We're just trying to give her the best advice possible based on our experiences. Rush is supposed to be dry and that is a national policy from panhellenic... there are reasons for that. Certainly the upperclassmen already in sororities won't pay attention to that, but if they see PNMs out and about then certain judgments can be made. And in addition to that, if a person needs to go out and drink and can't stay in for a weekend and find something fun to do then that person might have bigger problems.
