I mean it depends on what you mean by hang out. If you join the same house yeah you will see each other around and are much much much more likely to hang out. If you're not in the same house I feel like the hanging out (when it happens) is exceedingly rare (I guess I made it sound like it was more common). If you like each other and are in the same house you might become part of her family. I know a girl who was a Gamma Chi and she introduced her little to the girl she really liked from her group who pledged her house...and now she's that girl's grandbig and they hang out as a family all the time. But really it depends on how much you like that person and how much that person likes you.
