An open letter to my dear sweet friend I attended high school with: I want you in my sorority so bad it hurts! There is nothing that will make my heart happier than to have you run into my arms on bid day. I can't wait to finally call you my sister! However, I'm scared to death of showing up on bid day to my sorority house (arms full of t-shirts and other goodies for you) and to not see your name on our bid list! You see, there are so many girls in my sorority that we cannot guarantee bids to anyone. Last year I cried when my dear friends were cut and I didn't see their names on our lists. Some were cut after the first round, some after pref. It stinks and hurts the same for us as it does for you! So, if I'm not going out of my way to convince you that there is only one truly perfect sorority on campus, it is because I want you to have the best rush possible. If the unthinkable happens, and you don't see my sorority on your bid card, or party list, know that I am hurting for you! Know that I will be happy for you whichever sorority you land it! If you hate my sorority (I know you won't), but if you do, my feelings won't be hurt. I will still swing by your new home on bid day to give you a big hug! To All PNM's: Never take cuts personally! This is how we feel about all of you!
