1. The alumni are involved in every house to some extent, but they are very involved in the top 4 houses (xo, ddd, kd, dg). You cannot get a bid to one of these houses without alumni approval. 2. I've had a pnm cry during round 1 because she loved my house so much. It's one thing to get emotional on pref night, but round 1? Come on. 4. Like the poster before me, I cannot stand when pnms appear bored. You'll be exhausted and your throat will hurt like crazy, but I am just as exhausted as you are. And if you act bored or uninterested, I will see to it that you are cut as soon as you leave the house. 5. Again, rec letters are important. We can't give you a bid unless you have one. Letters from ole miss alumni hold a lot more weight. Chapter legacy status is almost an automatic bid. Regular legacy status will get you name recognition but that's about it. 6. I definitely look for a smile and that sense of excitement. When I pick you up outside of my house, I want to hear the excitement in your voice when you say "so nice to meet you, I am so happy to be here" or something along those lines. I want to see that you are genuinely interested in getting to know me in that 5 minutes we get to talk. I also love talking with an honest an pnm. You can tell me your throat is killing you and that you have a huge bio test tomorrow, but don't come off as whiney and complaining. 7. There are a few minority girls in my sorority.
