The cuts that hurt the most are the ones that you don't see coming. For me it was KD. I was rushed super hard by one of their alumni advisors and a member of their rush team. I was sure I was a shoo in! I sat on the front row and watched their skit, confident that I was receiving a bid. Pref day invites were handed out and guess what, they cut me! Lucky for me I still had xo, Ddd, and dg left for pref (this was two years ago when you preffed three houses). Otherwise, I would have been crushed! I ended up getting a bid to another of my favorite houses and have never looked back! Moral of the story is that you can never count on a bid from any house, no matter who you know or how wonderful you think you are. Keep your options open and bid day will be a day you will never forget!
