That MIGHT cover one full year of sorority dues... The first semester before initiation is always a bit more expensive due to an initiation fee. My sororities dues are a little under $2,000 PER SEMESTER. This does not include a meal plan which allows me to eat at the house and some t shirt fees. If a member fails to pay her dues, she will be put on probation and cannot attend social events put on by the sorority. I would not recommend pledging a sorority if you know you cannot pay it. You will be given an approximate amount of dues during rush for each house and the exact amount of dues after you pledge your house. You should drop if you can't pay it.
