You can't really look at dues alone. You have to look meals and house fees and new member fees and initiation fees and badge fees and social fees, etc. it's really hard to compare sororities when each sorority states their dues and fees differently. By the time it is all said and done you are looking upwards of $6,000 you first year. Don't forget tshirts and other swag is billed separately. Last year I purchased close to 20 tshirts...... Once you are an active you also have to figure in swap and date party outfits and big/little gifts. Sororities are not for girls who struggle financially.
