I don't know a thing about pref night at any sorority except the ones I preffed. At ddd, pref was very casual. Everything was very matter of fact. We love you, we hope you love us too. I sat in a room and had casual conversations with actives and other PNM's around me. There were no tears At Phi Mu, pref was pretty intense. The girl rushing me tried her best to convince me why Phi Mu was the best. The only tears I had were because I knew I wouldn't be returning here on bid day and I didn't want to upset my friends in the house who were working so hard. At XO, the girls all gathered around me and tried very very hard to convince me to pledge XO. There were tears everywhere as girls told me what XO meant to them and how perfectly I would fit in the house. Some seemed very genuine and others seemed sort of staged. At all three houses, everything from the decorations to the dresses the actives were wearing to how beautiful ALL the girls were was so impressive. I didn't pref KD but so many of my friends did. I heard that their house was very emotional. What turned me off with KD was how their rush team kept telling me that i BETTER put them first or they wouldn't be my friends anymore. I knew that they were kidding, but it still didn't sit well with me.
