I am seriously trying to answer your question without sounding rude or condescending, or whatever.... But, Seems like someone with the hope of joining a "social club" which is essentially what a sorority is, would already be knowledgeable in the art of networking. Basically you ask your friends, neighbors, social circles etc. to introduce you to actives. Seriously, my dad has a coworker who niece is an active Tri Delt at ole miss. Appropriate introductions were made and suddenly I know 20 or so Tri delts. My moms best friend knows an ole miss alumnae who was a chi omega. Introductions were made and now I know a handful of chi o's. I met a KD alumnae at church who attended ole miss. She introduced me to actives she knows..... I can go on and on with examples. You have to use your current relationships to find common friends who can make the appropriate introductions. You can't approach actives at bars or in elevators and expect not to be seen as creepy, or maybe you are socially skillful enough to do just that......
