Congratulations to your daughter for choosing AOII. Most of what is discussed on here is opinion and not based on facts or the lived experience. My daughter is an OOS AOII. She LOVES IT. She has found her people. They have a great and supportive friend group, but still love all their sisters. They work VERY HARD and started the recruitment process this year, even before the other chapters to make rush special for new PNMs. The numbers listed below about Quotas are simply not true. One reason that they take more is based on their founding mission of inclusivity and diversity. They work hard to ensure as many as possible get to experience a great sisterhood and find their home at Ole Miss. They truly have one of the most loyal sisterhoods. They also have demonstrated themselves with fundraising, philanthropy, and supporting campus activities. I would encourage your daughter to stay connected with her bid-day buddy and “big”, once assigned. She will be supported. I would say the point of being in a sorority
