Over 30 years ago I chose my own top house where I was wanted for me not my legacy. In fact when legacies mattered at Ole Miss I turned down a double legacy(my mother and grandmother-although from different schools) top house still known for taking legacies and another where my other grandmother had been a member at Ole Miss and chapter President. My maternal grandmother never got over it and my other grandmother had already passed. It was the right choice for me I was not the correct fit for the legacy houses. Last year my goddaughter was cut from her Mother's house and my house before round 2. So she never even went to her legacy house but it so happy in her mid tier house. A good fit. As tiers do not matter but connection to your sisters and fit for the chapter are really important. As for me I have goddaughters and sons so I will never get the experience of my own daughter getting in a house. Although I assure you I have gotten the experience of my goddaughters upset about feeling rejected. Hope Nationals changes this process before I have grandchildren. It is far from perfect. So yes your child will find a house trust the process.
