If you think this is bad, my mom and aunt have horror stories from back in the day about girls being dropped after pref when they thought they were sure to get the house they loved and ignored all the other houses. I don’t completely understand it but used to it somehow benefited chapters to keep girls on their lists and then cut at the last minute. The system we have now prevents that and it’s much better.
