Do you want to go to Ole Miss just to party/be in a frat? That's fine, but honestly if you can't manage to get a 3.0+ GPA in high school, you likely won't find more success here. Generally speaking the coursework is more difficult than most high schools and you will have less structure than in high school - you'll be responsible for managing almost all of your time and will face more temptations to party or slack off. Obviously not all majors here are academically rigorous but generally speaking only male athletes and children of rich alum donors are allowed to coast. Most students are expected to achieve some level of success, by their professors and believe it or not by their fraternities/sororities, who do not want to have their academic rankings dragged down by too many underachievers (but again, children of rich alum donors do manage to get by). Best of luck at Ole Miss, but there is no shame skipping college and learning a trade - and honestly, if you're a good plumber, mechanic, electrician, etc long-term you will probably make more than most liberal arts majors who graduate from Ole Miss with high GPAs.
