A few reasons sophomores have power: 1. It's their first recruitment, so they're a lot more excited. They're a lot more likely to dig into pnm's reputations from before rush. In this case they may not be too much help getting you in, but if you get blacklisted it's probably a sophomore doing it 2. Most girls you talk to in a round will be sophomores. Even with differences on voting, people you talk to form opinions 3. They're a lot more passionate because they're the class that will deal with the new pledge class the longest and they're looking for littles and friends
