Some of us understand that there is a world outside of The South, that an entire universe exists beyond the city limits of Jackson and its little suburbs. Moreover, for the longest time basic human freedom for blacks (to name just one example) wasn’t respected anywhere in The South, so I’m not sure we should trust the region’s blanket judgments on various groups of people.
