It's hard to give advice when we have never met you or even seen your face. Top sororities tend to only bid girls from the south, and that is an improvement from several years ago when they only gave bids to girls from Mississippi. Exceptional girls from California, and other non-south states do get bids, but they have to work a little harder. By working, I don't mean your résumé and rec letters, everyone has those. You will need to politic. If you know absolutely no one, you will have to get creative here. Most girls know at least one person in the Greek system, or one person who can make some introductions. Spring parties are how most girls meet actives, but if you can't make it to any spring parties, you will need to work really hard once classes start. There are a few houses who wait until after water parties to start making their lists, but not many. Also, if you don't have at least a 3.0 from a private school and tons of extra activities, I would not go in hoping for a top house. Legacy status will NOT help you at ole miss unless you are an in-house legacy, and sometimes even then girls still get cut.
