I wish someone would answer this question honestly(which I doubt anyone can do) because I have been trying to get the answer to this from this site for months now! All anyone can say is Theta is lower tier and always has been and always will be.But that is false information b/c Theta came on campus strong in 1978 and was solid middle tier(along with DG, Phi Mu, Kappa, & Pi Phi) for over 20 years. You will get an answer about the type of girls, but that is based solely on stereotype and not actual knowledge. In reality, they are lovely women! Or, you will get an answer about Theta's diversity being a negative factor because most ladies from MS don't want to branch out of their comfort zone of the circles they ran in during high school. I am not saying this is a bad thing or judging, just stating what the facts are. It is difficult to put a label on a Theta and I think that is what gives so many people trouble. Theta women are independent, smart, forward thinking, strong, caring, and don't easily fit into a mold. Some think those are good qualities and others don't. Theta is very strong nationally and has sisters like Laura Bush, Lynn Cheney, Cindy McCain, Amy Grant, Cheryl Crowe, and Tori Burch just to name a few! So,I say to "by confused"...you are on the right track by appraising Theta women positively! We can all be nice. It's not really a competition at all, but an individual experience of sisterhood.
